Responsibilities include: Photographing events, performances, and community gatherings, providing edited photos for marketing, social media, and archives, ensuring consent and respect when photographing community members, collaborating with the marketing manager on visual content.

The Drag Events Director plans, coordinates, and oversees all drag-related programming and performances hosted or sponsored by Kent Pride. This role centers drag as a vital cultural and artistic expression within the LGBTQ+ community. Responsibilities include: Planning and managing drag shows and drag-focused events, coordinating performers, hosts, venues, and schedules, Ensuring events are safe, inclusive, and respectful, collaborating with marketing and fundraising teams to promote events, supporting and uplifting local drag artists

The Treasurer oversees the financial health of Kent Pride and ensures transparency, accountability, and responsible management of funds. This role manages budgets, tracks income and expenses, and prepares financial reports for the board. The Treasurer also supports fundraising efforts by coordinating financial documentation and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.

The Volunteer Manager recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who help make Kent Pride’s programs and events possible. This role coordinates volunteer schedules, serves as a primary point of contact for volunteer needs, and ensures volunteers feel welcomed, valued, and included. The Volunteer Manager maintains volunteer records and fosters a positive and affirming volunteer experience.

The Fundraising Coordinator plans and manages fundraising efforts that support Kent Pride’s programs and operations. This role organizes fundraising campaigns and events, develops donor engagement strategies, and seeks financial contributions through sponsorships, grants, and individual donations. The Fundraising Coordinator collaborates with the Treasurer and other leadership roles to track fundraising progress and ensure funds are used responsibly and in alignment with the organization’s mission.

The Marketing Manager oversees promotional efforts for Kent Pride and manages the organization’s branding and public communications. This role creates and distributes marketing materials, manages social media and digital presence, and ensures consistent, inclusive messaging. The Marketing Manager works closely with the Photographer and other leadership roles to increase visibility, engagement, and community support.

The Business Outreach Coordinator builds and maintains relationships between Kent Pride and local businesses, sponsors, and corporate partners. This role focuses on securing support for Kent Pride’s mission through sponsorships, in-kind donations, and collaborative partnerships. The Business Outreach Coordinator represents the organization professionally within the business community, communicates the value of supporting LGBTQ+ initiatives, and works closely with leadership and fundraising teams to expand resources and visibility for Kent Pride.

Kent Pride offers internship opportunities for individuals seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, event planning, marketing, community outreach, and advocacy within an LGBTQ+ organization. Any of the above roles may be fulfilled as an internship position, depending on the needs of the organization and the interests of the intern.
